Overview
SportQuake has worked with Stake since 2020, planning and buying an exciting global sports marketing strategy, including Premier League shirt sponsorship, to drive the casino and sports betting platform’s mainstream marketing and commercial objectives.
Following a successful first season in the Premier League with Watford, SportQuake helped Stake take the next step by agreeing a long-term shirt sponsorship with Everton.
The Challenge
Having seen encouraging results from their initial front of shirt sponsorship, Stake wanted to make their next move in football to increase their position within the Premier League narrative and continue to occupy top-of-mind awareness in 2022/23 and beyond.
The Solution
If you’re a brand and want to reach football audiences effectively and at the right price, you need to be aware of all the choices.
Working right across the football ecosystem – all rights owners, all inventory – SportQuake helped Stake to understand the marketplace and plan and buy the best strategies to drive their specific business goals.
Following an extensive analysis, SportQuake worked with Stake to develop a Premier League shirt sponsorship with Everton for four key reasons:
- Global brand awareness – The Premier League is the most popular sports league in the world – twice as big as its nearest competitor. Stake could drive awareness among the Premier League’s global 3.2bn annual audience via uniform branding at all of Everton’s 38 games, as well as match day LED and interview backdrop coverage at all club home games.
- Premium Premier League IP – Everton is one of England’s most historic and storied football clubs. Recognised globally with a rich and successful history alongside ambitious plans for a new stadium, the partnership would place Stake’s brand at the centre of the Premier League narrative. The agreement would also see Stake branding at some of the most viewed matches in world football including the famous Merseyside derby, as well as fixtures against Manchester United.
- Elevated Club Interest – As Everton’s long-term shirt sponsor, Stake would be a focal point of a key part of club history, as the Toffees plan their move from their famous Goodison Park ground to a new state-of-the-art stadium on Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront.
- Multi-channel media coverage – As shirt sponsor, Stake would accelerate brand exposure 24/7/365 via all online and offline club and Premier League coverage, including TV, digital, print and key related licensees, such as EA Sports’ FIFA franchise and Fantasy Football.
The Result
Stake.com were announced as Everton’s long-term shirt sponsor in June. Having risen to the top of the gaming world, and with further expansion plans on the cards, look out for more from the partnership as the 2022/23 season gets underway.
